Ho Chi Minh has been recognized as the cheapest city to live in Vietnam. Based on the InterNation’s survey, an average American expat can live in the city with approximately $462.62 as a monthly budget.
InterNation is the largest network of people living and at the same time working abroad. It has currently ranked more than 50 respondents based on expats living in major cities across the globe and is based on the cost of living in a city, finances and housing capacity.
The cost of a typical 1-bedroom apartment in Ho Chi Minh is at $560.86 which is lower than its competitors like Bangkok at $665.44 and Montreal at $982.57
77% of surveyed expats residing in Ho Chi Minh said they are more than delighted with their financial status and lifestyle. According to official data from last year, there are approximately around 90,000 foreigners working and living in Vietnam with great numbers found in Ho Chi Minh and the country’s capital – Hanoi.
Ho Chi Minh is the largest city in the country and is considered the business capital of Vietnam. It offers plenty of employment opportunities for both locals and foreigners.
The city also boasts several attractions and recreational activities. Alongside this are delectable dishes, Vietnamese and international cuisines that can be found in the streets and restaurants.
